welcome to yoga and nutrition

Jo kemp has been practicing yoga for eighteen years and teaching for ten years. Her journey into yoga began in India where she travelled and lived for long periods of time through out the 90’s.   She studied with native yogis and contemporary yoga masters exploring the main branches of Krishnamacharya’s Classical Yoga.
In 2000 she discovered Dynamic Yoga and became a dedicated student of Godfrey Deveraux completing over 500 teacher training hours.  Her teaching is clearly defined by the core principles of the Dynamic Yoga Training Method while being strongly informed by her life, students and daily self practice.
Jo’s classes are gentle, precise, nourishing and insightful.  Jo teaches classes, courses, workshops and retreats through out Europe and lives in Sitges, Spain with her partner and 3 year old daughter.

about us

Yoga and nutrition is a new project born in the latter part of 2007 between Jo Kemp, yoga teacher, and Alexa Jarzebowska, nutritional therapist and yoga teacher.

The source of inspiration for bringing together these two paths came from a desire to encourage people to take yoga off the mat and into their everyday lives.

The ancient art of Yoga is a way of being which reveals our connection with nature.  It invites sensitivity and respect for the body and often results in a desire to nourish ourselves with good food and mindful eating.

We hope to help people to reconnect with their intuition, so that they can choose what will serve their body best.  In yoga, we are encouraged to listen to the body.  In the same way we hope to encourage people to listen to their body’s needs rather than simply eating what is in the fridge, or what their taste buds are clamouring for.

We hope you will join us on these exciting and enjoyable breaks away.
